A classically trained composer and electronic musician,

KARMÅ's trademark sound selection

makes an impact in the Los Angeles dance music scene.

Clarissa, known professionally as KARMÅ, began composing for piano at a young age.  

 A hopeful ballerina turned producer, songwriter, and electronic musician,

she was raised in a musical family and began performing at the age of 13.  

​

Raised in a musical family, she began performing at the

age of 13, playing acoustic gigs around Southern

California. After singing in various acts throughout her

teen years, she went on to focus on original compositions

and live electronic performance.  Graduating with a BA in

Production and Sound Design, her live mixes are

unhindered by typical genre.
